Stanton 3-run homer, Johnson drive off Valverde helps Marlins beat Mets 10-7

Giancarlo Stanton hit a three-run homer off Gonzalez Germen in the sixth inning, and the Miami Marlins beat the New York Mets 10-7 Monday to improve to 5-0 against their NL East rival in spring training.

Pinch-hitter Reed Johnson led off the fourth with a home run against Jose Valverde.

Marlins starter Henderson Alvarez struck out five in four innings, allowing one run, three hits and two walks.

Mets starter John Lannan pitched 1 2-3 scoreless innings with two strikeouts.
