Sochaux signs Zambian duo
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Montbeliard, France (SportsNetwork.com) - In an effort to boost its survival hopes, Sochaux signed Zambian internationals Stoppila Sunzu and Nathan Sinkala on Wednesday.
Both players will be reunited with current Sochaux boss Herve Renard, who coached the Zambian national team to victory at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.
Sunzu, a defender, joins the club on a three-and-a-half-year contract from Congolese side TP Mazembe, while midfielder Sinkala arrives on a six-month loan deal from Mazembe with Sochaux having the option of making the move permanent.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Sochaux has narrowly avoided relegation in each of the past two seasons, and the club enters the second half of the campaign in 19th place, six points from safety.
