Hoops star Vince Carter and other members of the Memphis Grizzlies played Santa to an intern who lost his wheels to car thieves.
The big-hearted team opened their wallets to buy Brandon Henderson a new car after his was stolen the day before Thanksgiving.
The players gave the car to Henderson Friday, bringing him to tears.

“He had it tough. He lost his car,” Carter says in a video on FoxSports.com. “Everybody chipped in for him, for Christmas. This is the holiday season for giving and that’s what we wanted.”

Henderson, the team’s 24-year-old personal assistant, was out on a date when thieves stole his 1993 Chrysler New Yorker in downtown Memphis.

The Grizzlies surprised him with a new Nissan Altima wrapped in a red bow.
“I don’t know how the guys found out,” Henderson told the Memphis Commercial Appeal. “I kept it like that because I try to keep stuff that happens at home away from work. It didn’t seem real. It seemed like a dream. It’s like stuff you see on TV. They’d didn’t have to do it, but it’s a blessing.
Henderson took to walking as he made do without a vehicle.
