Skille's winner leads Islanders over Senators 3-2 in opener of exhibition doubleheader

Jack Skille scored the winning goal with 1:27 to play, and the New York Islanders beat the Ottawa Senators 3-2 on Monday in the opener of a preseason split-squad doubleheader.

Sebastian Collberg and Brock Nelson also scored for the Islanders.

Alex Chiasson, part of the offseason trade that sent former Senators captain Jason Spezza to Dallas, and Cole Schneider scored Ottawa's goals.
