Shanshan Feng wins final LPGA Tour event and the biggest prize in women's golf
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Shanshan Feng of China finished her year with a 6-under 66 and the richest prize in women's golf.
Feng got off to a quick start and played mistake-free Sunday to win the LPGA Titleholders by one shot over Gerina Piller. The victory in the final event of the LPGA season was worth $700,000 and pushed Feng to No. 4 on the money list with just over $1.7 million.
Feng was two shots behind going into the final round and never thought she would win. But she made four birdies in six holes to seize control and stayed ahead the rest of the way. Piller missed a 10-foot birdie attempt on the final hole that would have forced a playoff.
