It's not often a team cuts its leading rusher, but that's exactly what the Seattle Seahawks did Tuesday, releasing fifth-year running back Christine Michael.
Michael leads the Seahawks in rushing yards (469) and rushing touchdowns (6) in 2016, but the 26-year-old has seen his production slip significantly the past three weeks.
Michael has rushed for only 63 yards on 20 carries since Seattle's Week 8 loss to the Saints. It's unclear if the Seahawks' move Tuesday signaled the team's unhappiness with his recent production.
