Rose, Lawson named NBA Players of the Week
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose and Denver Nuggets guard Ty Lawson have been named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played through March 4.
Rose averaged 28.8 points, 7.5 assists and 1.75 steals to lead Chicago to a 4-0 record for the week. Rose scored 30-plus points twice, including a 35- point effort to close out the week against Philadelphia.
Lawson averaged a Western Conference-best 11.7 assists, while scoring 20.7 points and grabbing 7.0 rebounds. Lawson had two point-assist double-doubles and turned the ball over just four times to lead the Nuggets to a 3-0 week.
