Ronaldo to be Honored by Brazil in June Friendly

You likely haven't seen the last of Ronaldo.

The soccer legend, who retired last month, will play an exhibition match against Romania in June, the Brazilian federation announced Wednesday.

The retired striker will wear Brazil's jersey one last time at Pacaembu Stadium on June 7.

Ronaldo's last match was during the 2006 World Cup in Germany, where Brazil lost to France in the quarterfinals.

The 34-year-old retired from Corinthians last month after winning two World Cups and thriving with some of Europe's top teams.

He played for 18 years despite repeated knee trouble, and left as a three-time world player of the year and the top goal-scorer in World Cup history with 15.

Romario, Zico and Pele also were honored with farewell matches in Brazil after they retired.
