Roger Penske says Logano and Hamlin have exchanged text messages
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Roger Penske says Joey Logano and Denny Hamlin have exchanged text messages since their final-lap crash at Fontana last weekend that left Hamlin with a fractured vertebra.
Penske said he's also sent text messages to Hamlin, who's expected to miss at least six weeks. Penske and Logano, one his drivers, were playing in the pro-am leading up to his week's PGA Houston Open.
Logano also got into a post-race altercation with Tony Stewart and Stewart later called Logano "nothing but a little rich kid that's never had to work in his life."
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Logano turned down interview requests as he hit balls on the driving range on Tuesday and Wednesday. NASCAR returns to action April 7 at Martinsville Speedway, and Penske said it's time for everyone to "settle down."
