Report: Red Sox, Pedroia agree to seven-year, $100 million deal

According to a report, the Boston Red Sox have locked up second baseman Dustin Pedroia through the 2021 season.
WEEI is reporting, citing an unnamed baseball source, Pedroia and Red Sox have agreed to a seven-year, $100 million contract that will begin after the 2014 season and include a full no trade clause.
Pedroia is batting .308 with six homers and 57 RBI through 100 games this year. He has a career batting average of .303 with 96 homers and 466 RBI.

He was named the 2007 Rookie of Year after hitting .317 with eight homers and 50 RBI in his first full season in the league. He won the AL MVP Award a year later thanks to a career-best .326 average with 17 homers and 83 RBI.
