Reds call up Duvall, Lorenzen from Triple-A Louisville
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}CHICAGO (AP) After placing outfielder Brennan Boesch on the disabled list with an ankle contusion late Sunday, the Cincinnati Reds promoted outfielder/infielder Adam Duvall from Triple-A Louisville on Monday.
In another move, the Reds recalled right-hander Michael Lorenzen from Louisville and optioned David Holmberg there.
Duvall was acquired from San Francisco on July 31 along with pitcher Keury Mella for pitcher Mike Leake.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Duvall hit 30 home runs with 87 RBIs in 125 minor league games this season.
Lorenzen - who has a 3-8 record and a 5.46 ERA this season - was Cincinnati's starter on Monday night against the Chicago Cubs.
