Pens F Conner out with hand injury
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Pittsburgh Penguins forward Chris Conner is expected to miss the next 6-to-8 weeks with a hand injury which will require surgery.
Pens head coach Dan Bylsma made the announcement after a Thursday practice session.
Conner, a Michigan Tech product, has picked up four goals and five points in 19 games for Pittsburgh this season.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}In other roster news, the Penguins claimed forward Taylor Pyatt off waivers from the New York Rangers.
Pyatt, 32, recorded just one assist in 22 games for the Blueshirts this year. A veteran of 825 NHL contests for the Sabres, Canucks, Coyotes and Rangers, he has totaled 136 goals and 140 assists.
