Penn State's Frazier out for season
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Penn State senior guard Tim Frazier will miss the remainder of the 2012-13 season with a ruptured Achilles tendon in his left leg.
Frazier suffered the injury during the Nittany Lions' 85-60 loss Sunday to Akron at the Puerto Rico Tip-off.
"Tim is a tremendous player, a great team leader and just a fantastic young man who put a ton of hard work into having a terrific senior season," Penn State coach Patrick Chambers said. "I have no doubt he will meet this challenge and will again be one of the top players in the nation."
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Frazier finished the year averaging 16.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists over four games. He is eligible to apply to the NCAA for a medical redshirt season.
