The New England Patriots' secondary looked depleted after losing both Darrelle Revis and Brandon Browner after their Super Bowl win. While the star power is gone at cornerback, key players are stepping up in Revis and Browner's absence.

Veteran cornerback Tarell Brown was signed by the Patriots last month and has been impressive during training camp. On Monday, he made the case to be a starter even stronger when he intercepted both Tom Brady and Jimmy Garoppolo in team drills.

It's only practice, but Brown has played well since his arrival in Foxborough. He's fighting for a starting job opposite Malcolm Butler, who has all but locked up the No. 1 cornerback spot. Logan Ryan and Bradley Fletcher are also vying for a spot in the starting lineup, with Ryan currently No. 2 on the depth chart.

If Brown continues to play the way he has, though, he'll be hard to keep off the field.
