The Brazilian ex-Olympic gymnast who injured her back while she was preparing to compete as a skier at the Sochi Winter Games will be transferred to a Miami hospital that specializes in spinal injuries.
Lais Souza has been at the University of Utah hospital since hitting a tree while skiing recreationally on Jan. 27. The accident left her unable to breathe on her own or move her legs and arms.
The 25-year-old Souza remains in a serious but stable condition and doctors say it's too soon to know whether she will be permanently paralyzed.

The Brazilian Olympic Committee said Wednesday that Souza was likely to remain in Miami for at least 60 days.
