Panthers lose starting LG Amini Silatolu for the season to a torn right ACL in loss to Arizona
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Panthers coach Ron Rivera says starting left guard Amini Silatolu tore the ACL in his right knee in Carolina's 22-6 loss to Arizona on Sunday and will miss the remainder of the season.
The injury occurred in the second half after Silatolu got his leg twisted in a pile of players.
The Panthers have now lost a starter to a season-ending injury in each of their three losses this season. Right guard Garry Williams went down with a knee injury in week one against Seattle and safety Charles Godfrey tore his Achilles the following week against Buffalo.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Rivera said Monday that Travelle Wharton or Chris Scott could take over at left guard.
He hasn't decided if the team will sign an offensive lineman.
The Panthers (1-3) visit Minnesota on Sunday.
