Packers put promising rookie LB Perry on injured reserve with wrist injury, activate Quarless
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The promising rookie season of Green Bay Packers first-round pick Nick Perry is over after he was placed on injured reserve with a wrist injury.
The Green Bay Press-Gazette reported that the linebacker had surgery to repair a ligament. Perry had missed the last three games, but it was with a knee injury. There was no hint anything else was amiss until coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that he was getting a second opinion.
Perry, drafted out of USC with the 28th pick, played in six games and made five starts. He had two sacks and 29 tackles.
