Packers promotional cups land in Vikings country
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}MINNEAPOLIS (AP) It was a McMixup that wasn't appreciated by fans of the Minnesota Vikings.
Drink cups emblazoned with the logo of the border rival Green Bay Packers were mistakenly shipped to a McDonald's in the Twin Cities suburbs. The restaurant was using them as part of a promotion tied to the Packers' win last week in Detroit with a Hail Mary pass.
Minnesota and Green Bay are fierce rivals in the NFC North and are currently tied for first place with four games left in the regular season.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Star Tribune (http://strib.mn/1NIP3Za ) story about the mistake drew plenty of responses from Vikings fans, some who believe it was no accident and a plot concocted by a Packer backer.
