Orioles, Mariners go to extra innings again

A night after playing a 5 hour, 44 minute, 18-inning marathon, the Orioles and Mariners went to extra innings again on Wednesday night. The teams were tied at 1-1 after nine innings.
The Orioles and Mariners both used eight pitchers in Tuesday night's game, won 4-2 by the Orioles. On Wednesday, starters Joe Saunders for Baltimore and Seattle's Felix Hernandez worked eight innings giving up just one earned run each, before turning it over to the bullpens.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Baltimore was seeking its 15th straight extra-inning victory. According to the Orioles, with information from the Elias Sports Bureau, the 14 straight extra-inning wins is the longest streak since the Cleveland Indians won 17 straight in 1949.
