Okubo leads Kawasaki past Gamba 5-3 in J-League's 2nd stage
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}TOKYO (AP) Veteran striker Yoshito Okubo scored twice as Kawasaki Frontale beat defending champions Gamba Osaka 5-3 for its fourth straight win in the J-League on Sunday.
Okubo gave Kawasaki a 4-3 lead from the penalty spot with 15 minutes remaining and set up Elsinho seven minutes later to seal the win.
Patric scored twice and Shu Kurata added another for Gamba.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The result puts Kawasaki on 23 points, five behind second-stage leaders Sanfrecce Hiroshima with four games remaining. Gamba has 22 points.
FC Tokyo beat Hiroshima 1-0 on Saturday.
Also on Saturday, Kashima Antlers beat Vissel Kobe 2-0 while Ventforet Kofu and Albirex Niigata finished 0-0. Kashiwa Reysol beat Nagoya Grampus 3-1, and first-stage winners Urawa Reds settled for a 1-1 draw with Sagan Tosu.
