Oilers' Ference suspended three games

Ference delivered a check to the head of Vancouver forward Zack Kassian in the second period of Saturday's game with the Canucks. He was assessed a minor penalty on the play.
The supplemental discipline was issued by the NHL Department of Player Safety because Ference is considered a repeat offender. He will forfeit $118,902 of his salary, which will go to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
