Ohio State coach Urban Meyer says he's evaluating situation with RB Carlos Hyde

Ohio State coach Urban Meyer says he will make a decision about running back Carlos Hyde once he evaluates the facts surrounding the case.

The school announced Monday that Hyde and three other players had been disciplined. Hyde was suspended indefinitely after he was named a person of interest in an investigation into an alleged assault of a woman at a downtown Columbus bar.

Hyde, a 6-foot, 242-pound senior from Naples, Fla., rushed for 970 yards on 185 carries last season. He also had a team-high 17 touchdowns for the unbeaten Buckeyes.

Speaking Wednesday at Big Ten media days in Chicago, Meyer says he was furious when he was notified of the legal problems for the players.
