Ogwumike's double-double fuels Sparks in rout of Mystics

Nneka Ogwumike scored a team-high 22 points to go with 10 rebounds, as the Los Angeles Sparks pounded the Washington Mystics, 75-57, Sunday at Verizon Center.

Jantel Lavender donated 13 points and 11 boards, while Lindsey Harding posted an 11-point, 14-assist double-double for the Sparks, who had lost three of their last four games.

Crystal Langhorne led all scorers with 23 points and seven rebounds in the setback, Washington's third in a row and fifth in its last six games.

Washington scored nine of the game's first 11 points, but the Sparks closed the first frame on a 19-2 surge to take a 21-11 cushion into the second.

LA led 33-26 at the break and never trailed in the third before pushing the edge to 59-39 heading into the final frame.

Washington never threatened in the fourth.
