Nuggets re-sign F Chandler

"It was a very unique situation signing a talented free agent in the middle of the season, and we worked extremely hard to find an agreement that was best for everyone. Wilson will be an excellent addition for the rest of this season and for years to come."
The 24-year old forward had signed with the Zhejiang Guangsha Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association during the NBA lockout, receiving clearance from the International Basketball Federation to return to the NBA in late February.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Because he did not sign with an NBA team before the March 1st RFA offer-sheet deadline, Chandler either had to sign with Denver or wait until the offseason to negiotiate with other teams.
A first-round pick (23rd overall) of the Knicks in the 2007 NBA Draft, Chandler averaged 12.5 points and five rebounds per game in 21 contests with the Nuggets last season after being trading from New York in the Carmelo Anthony deal.
In four NBA campaigns with the Knicks and Nuggets, the DePaul product has averaged 13.9 points and 5.2 rebounds per game over 254 games, 199 of which were starts.
