No. 17 Texas has no problem with TCU
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Fort Worth, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Javan Felix tallied 15 points off the bench and 17th-ranked Texas defeated TCU, 66-48, on Monday.
Isaiah Taylor and Myles Turner scored 13 and 11 points, respectively, for the Longhorns (14-4, 3-2 Big 12).
"We know that the foundation of this team is to get the ball inside," said Turner. "Once you get the ball inside it opens up everybody else outside."
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Kenrich Williams was the only Horned Frog in double figures with 10 points.
TCU (14-4, 1-4) has dropped four of its last five after a 13-0 start to the season. The Horned Frogs kicked off a seven-game stretch in which they will play teams in conference currently ranked in the Top-25.
Kyan Anderson, TCU's leading scorer, was limited to just two points.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Texas jumped out to a 9-2 lead in the early going, then the margin reached double digits after Taylor's 3-pointer just past the halfway point of the first.
Chris Washburn's layup closed the first-half scoring and helped the Horned Frogs cut the deficit to 33-20 at the break.
Trey Zeigler made it a 10-point spread with a dunk, but Texas clamped down on the defensive end and put the game away from there.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Longhorns went on a 15-1 run from Zeigler's basket as TCU's offense was held without a field goal for nearly eight minutes. Devonta Abron finally ended the string of misses with a layup that closed the Horned Frogs gap to 52-30.
