No. 14 Creighton soars past Longwood
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Doug McDermott and Gregory Echenique scored 17 points apiece, as the 14th-ranked Creighton Bluejays routed the Longwood Lancers, 105-57, in a regional game of the Las Vegas Invitational.
Ethan Wragge and Will Artino each contributed 13 points for Creighton (4-0), which will continue this event Friday in Las Vegas against Wisconsin.
"We accomplished what we wanted to accomplish with this four-game homestand," Bluejays head coach Greg McDermott said.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Bluejays led by as many as 50 while shooting 64.8 percent from the field. They also totaled 27 assists and committed only 11 turnovers.
Jeylani Dublin paced Longwood (0-4) with game-highs of 19 points and eight rebounds. Tristan Carey was the only other visiting player to score more than five, finishing with 14.
