Nick Mangold bids farewell, thanks Jets for 11 great seasons

The release of the center will create more than $9 million salary cap space for the team.
The former Pro Bowler took to Twitter on Saturday to thank the organization for 11 years with the team.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Mangold was the Jets' second first-round pick -- fellow lineman D'Brickashaw Ferguson was the first -- in 2006 out of Ohio State. He started 164 of 176 regular-season games, making seven Pro Bowls and twice was a first-team All-Pro selection (2009 and 2010).
