NBA announces members of new competition committee

Celtics head coach Doc Rivers and Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert were amongst those announced as members of the league's new 10-member competition committee on Wednesday.

Last month, the board of governors voted to change the composition of the committee to include two owners, four general managers, three head coaches and a representative from the NBA Player's Association.

Members of the new committee also includes owner Joe Lacob (Golden State); general managers Bryan Colangelo (Toronto Raptors), Mitch Kupchak (L.A. Lakers), Kevin O'Connor (Utah Jazz), and Sam Presti (Oklahoma City); and coaches Rick Carlisle (Dallas Mavericks) and Lionel Hollins (Memphis Grizzlies). The NBPA will designate one of its members to serve on the Committee.

The committee was previously made up of the 30 general managers in the league before last month's changes.
