NASCAR has placed driver Darrell "Bubba" Wallace Jr. and Whitney Scott, the wife of XFINITY Series driver Brian Scott, on probation through the end of the year for their roles in a post-race altercation following last Saturday night's XFINITY Series race at Kentucky Speedway.

Brian Allen, the motorhome driver for Brian Scott, has meanwhile been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR.

Angry about contact with Wallace that loosened his right-rear wheel late in Saturday night's race, Brian Scott approached Wallace twice on pit road after the race to express his displeasure.

From there, the two engaged in a profanity-laced shouting match -- the contents of which were vulgar in nature. Brian Scott later used Twitter to accuse Wallace of calling his wife a disparaging name.

Team Penske driver Ryan Blaney won the race, while Wallace finished ninth and Scott came home in 13th.
