Murray wins opener in Barcelona

Andy Murray defeated Sergiy Stakhovsky 6-3, 6-2 Tuesday in the second round of the Barcelona Open.
The fourth-ranked Murray broke his Ukrainian opponent three times and saved both break points he faced to reach the third round alongside 2010 champion Fernando Verdasco. The ninth-seeded Spaniard beat Steve Darcis of Belgium 6-3, 6-1.
In the first round, Kevin Anderson of South Africa, Bernard Tomic of Australia and Albert Ramos of Spain all advanced.
