ESPN said Monday that Annie Apple would join ''Sunday NFL Countdown'' as a contributor. She will offer player profiles and other stories for the pregame show.
Annie Apple is a blogger who gained widespread attention with her social media posts on draft day last month. Her cornerback son was drafted 10th overall out of Ohio State.

She later wrote a first-person guest column for Sports Illustrated and appeared on several ESPN shows.
Senior coordinating producer Seth Markman says that ''when we met with her in-person at ESPN we were blown away by her relatability, her sense of humor, and just how unafraid she is to speak her mind.''
