Middle Tennessee beats Tennessee State 65-58

The Blue Raiders (5-8) led 27-21 at halftime despite shooting 37.9 percent from the floor (11 of 29) and extended their lead in the second, thanks to a 14-for-27 shooting effort (51.9 percent).
Jones finished 10 of 15 from the floor (66.7 percent) and James Gallman added 15 points for Middle Tennessee.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Patrick Miller scored 16 points and Jacquan Nobles added 12 for the Tigers (6-7), who had their five-game winning streak snapped.
Tennessee State was 20 for 52 from the field (38.5 percent), including 8 of 22 from 3-point range (36.4 percent).
The Blue Raiders posted a 40-26 rebounding edge and outscored the Tigers 30-12 in the paint and 18-9 on second-chance points.
