Brittney Griner and Candice Dupree each posted 19-point, eight-rebound efforts for the Mercury, who have won four of five to open the season.
Crystal Langhorne paced the Storm with 27 points to go along with eight rebounds.

Temeka Johnson's jumper helped the visitors to a 20-18 lead after the first quarter.
Phoenix led by one when Dupree knocked in two buckets to start a 10-2 swing that gave the Mercury a 40-31 lead late in the second.
