Buehrle allowed two runs and four hits over 1 1-3 innings in his first outing since the Miami Marlins sent him to Toronto as part of a blockbuster trade that also included Jose Reyes and Josh Johnson. The left-hander retired his first four batters before Lew Ford singled and Steve Pearce homered.
After singles by Danny Valencia and Taylor Teagarden, Buehrle was yanked.

Jose Bautista hit a two-run homer for Toronto off Troy Patton. Reyes was 1 for 2 in his Blue Jays debut.
