Lora sets FCS single-season receiving mark
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Eastern Illinois wide receiver Erik Lora set the FCS single-season receptions record Saturday night with his final catch - the 124th this season - in the Panthers' 48-30 loss at Central Arkansas.
Lora surpassed the 123 receptions caught by Elon's Terrell Hudgins in 2009. Lora caught nine passes for 52 yards and a touchdown.
In 11 games this season, the Walter Payton Award candidate has hauled in 124 receptions for 1,531 yards and 12 touchdowns. He has caught a touchdown pass in all but three of Eastern Illinois' games this year and finished the regular season averaging nearly 11.4 receptions per contest.
