Lions sign T Scott
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Detroit Lions have signed veteran offensive tackle Jonathan Scott to a one-year deal on Tuesday.
A six-year veteran, Scott returns to Detroit after spending the past two seasons with Pittsburgh where he started 14 of the 28 games he played in.
A fifth-round pick of Detroit in 2006, he played his first two seasons with Detroit then went to Buffalo for the next two years before heading to Pittsburgh.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Over his time in the NFL, he has played in 58 games and started 28.
To make room on the roster, the Lions released tackle Johnny Culbreath, who was a seventh-round pick of the Lions in 2011 and spent the season on injured reserve with an undisclosed illness. He was arrested in January for marijuana possession.
