Kings get revenge on Sharks
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Kyle Clifford had two goals to help the Los Angeles Kings take a 5-2 win over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday in the back end of a home-and-home.
Justin Williams, Jarret Stoll and Dwight King all scored for the Kings, who snapped a two-game slide. Jonathan Bernier gave up two goals on 22 shots.
Patrick Marleau and Matt Irwin each had a goal for the Sharks, who have lost five of their last six.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Antti Niemi gave up four goals on 18 shots and was lifted halfway through the second period. Alex Stalock gave up a goal on six shots in relief for the Sharks, who won, 4-3, at home on Thursday.
The Kings held a 2-0 lead after the first period as Clifford scored his first goal of the game at the 2:27 mark when he swept it in from the right circle. Williams scored at 12:19 when he got the puck on net from the left wing and it went off a Shark before heading home.
Marleau got the Sharks on the board 35 seconds into the second when he put home a rebound, but Bernier made the lead hold up with a glove save on a Tommy Wingels penalty shot at 7:58.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Stoll potted his fifth of the season when a shot by Trevor Lewis didn't go through, but it went off Stoll and he was able to backhand it in at the 11:15 mark.
Clifford cleaned up the rebound of a Dustin Penner break with 6:15 left in the second period and Kings' goal came with 1:04 left in the frame for a 5-1 advantage.
Irwin scored on the power play with under a minute to play to account for the final score.

Los Angeles hosts Phoenix for a pair of games on Monday and Tuesday ... San Jose continues its five-game road trip in Anaheim on Monday ... The Kings were 0-for-1 on the power play while San Jose went 1-for-2.
