King reaches Bogota QFs
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Bogota, Colombia (SportsNetwork.com) - American Vania King secured a berth in the quarterfinals at the Claro Open Colsanitas tennis event.
The sixth-seeded King got past Argentine wild card Maria Irigoyen 6-4, 3-6, 6-0 in second-round action on the red clay at Centro de Alto Rendimiento.
Also in the second round, eighth-seeded Spaniard and two-time champion Lourdes Dominguez Lino leveled Colombian wild card Yuliana Lizarazo 6-2, 6-3 and South African Chanelle Scheepers drubbed 2012 Bogota runner-up Alexandra Panova of Russia 6-3, 6-2. Dominguez Lino titled here in 2006 and 2011 and was the runner-up in 2005.
