Kazakhstan's Maneza wins weightlifting gold
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Kazakhstan's Maiya Maneza won gold in the women's 63-kilogram weightlifting competition Tuesday at the London Olympics.
Maneza set an Olympic record by lifting a total of 245kg, though was actually trailing after the snatch. She lifted 110kg to 112 for Russian Svetlana Tsarukaeva.
Then, Maneza lifted 135kg in the clean and jerk -- she is the world record holder in that technique -- while Tsarukaeva managed just 125. Maneza failed in two attempts to break her record, but still had done more than enough to secure gold.

Maneza is the second woman from Kazakhstan to win weightlifting gold at these games. Zulfiya Chinshanlo won the 53-kilogram competition Sunday.
