Juve tries to return to winning ways against Genoa

Juventus enters the weekend tied atop the Serie A table with Udinese, but the club has won just one of its last four games and will try to return to the win column on Saturday against Genoa.

Juve has been held to draws in three of its last four games, while Genoa has claimed only one point from its last three matches after a good start to the season.

A 0-0 draw at home against Lecce last time out snapped a two-game losing skid for Genoa, but it still prompted Genoa club president Enrico Preziosi to issue a vote of confidence to coach Alberto Malesani, who joined the club from Bologna over the summer.

Malesani could use a good result in Turin on Saturday, while Juve boss Antonio Conte will have to do without injured striker Emanuele Giaccherini and possibly goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, who injured his shoulder in training this week.

Genoa defender Kakha Kaladze will be serving the first game of a four-match ban on Saturday.

Udinese has also drawn three of its last four games and hosts Novara while Cagliari entertains Napoli with both teams residing in the top five.

Defending champions AC Milan got off to a slow start but the Rossoneri has rebounded to win two of its last three games and eyes another three points at Lecce.

Lazio has claimed 10 points from its last four games and travels to 18th-place Bologna, Catania is one of three unbeaten teams left in Serie A and visits Fiorentina and Roma tries to rebound from a defeat in the Rome derby last weekend by knocking off Palermo.

Inter Milan sits above the drop zone on goal difference and tries to spark a turnaround with a win over Chievo, Parma and Atalanta square off at the Stadio Ennio Tardini and Cesena meets Siena with the two teams combining for one win in 12 games this season.
