Webb Simpson wanted to give his caddie something good to see on television. He delivered a 5-under 68 that gave Simpson a three-way tie for the lead with Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth going into the final round of the Tournament of Champions.

Simpson said he played with a heavy heart Sunday upon learning the newborn son of his caddie, Paul Tesori, was in intensive care. He says players and caddies are sending along their best to Tesori, and that Simpson rarely went a hole without thinking about him. But he played some good golf on a beautiful day, getting into the mix of a wild tournament.

Johnson and Spieth each had a 69 to join Simpson at 14-under 205.

Zach Johnson stumbled to a 74 and was two back.
