Johnny Dee scores 17 points in leading San Diego over Grand Canyon 70-59
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Johnny Dee scored 17 points and hit three 3-pointers Saturday night to lead San Diego to a 70-59 win over Grand Canyon.
San Diego (2-0) had four players score in double figures. Dennis Kramer had 14 points and Christopher Anderson added 13. Both players had six rebounds. Duda Sanadze made two 3-pointers and finished with 11 points.
The game was tied at 18 in the first half before Dee hit two free throws to put the Toreros up for good.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Toreros led by as much as 17 in the second half. Grand Canyon (0-2) went on a 7-0 run to make it 49-39, but would only get as close as eight points with 9:04 to play.
Demetrius Walker led the Antelopes with 19 points and three 3-pointers. Killian Larson was the other Antelope to score in double figures with 14 points, and he had a game-high 15 rebounds.
