Jets re-sign CB Ellis Lankster after waiving Leon McFadden
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The New York Jets have re-signed special teams standout Ellis Lankster a day after waiving cornerback Leon McFadden.
Lankster was released by the Jets on Sept. 1, a surprising move because the cornerback had been a primary backup in the secondary and a major contributor on special teams.
He has played the last three years with the Jets after being a seventh-round pick by Buffalo in 2009. Lankster also played with Hamilton of the Canadian Football League in 2010.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}McFadden, claimed by the Jets off waivers from the Browns on Aug. 31, was inactive for New York's opener last Sunday against Oakland.
