Jets place Trufant on IR, waive Maybin

The New York Jets on Tuesday placed defensive back Isaiah Trufant on injured reserve and waived linebacker Aaron Maybin.

Trufant, who has been slowed by a knee injury, posted only one tackle in a 28-7 loss at Seattle last Sunday. In nine games this season, he has totaled 13 tackles.

Maybin, who had been signed as a restricted free agent by the Jets back in April, appeared in eight games for New York this season, credited with just one tackle.
