Jaguars activate veteran tight end Marcedes Lewis from short-term injured reserve
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Jacksonville Jaguars have activated tight end Marcedes Lewis from the injured reserve/designated to return list.
To make room for Lewis on the 53-man roster, the team placed rookie receiver Allen Robinson on injured reserve with a broken right foot.
The Jaguars also waived rookie tight end Mike Flacco from the practice squad and waived rookie receiver Nathan Slaughter from injured reserve.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Robinson injured his foot against Dallas in London on Nov. 9.
Lewis sustained a high-ankle sprain at Washington on Sept. 14 and was placed on injured reserve two days later with a designation to return. He has been running and working for weeks and is expected to provide an immediate impact Sunday at Indianapolis.
