Indians recall Diaz
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}The Cleveland Indians recalled infielder Juan Diaz from Double-A Akron and optioned pitcher Zach McAllister to Triple-A Columbus Friday.
Diaz hit .232 with three home runs and 18 RBI in 34 games for the Aeros this season. Along with outfielder Ezequiel Carrera, Diaz was acquired from Seattle in exchange for Russell Branyan in 2010.
McAllister was 1-1 with a 3.96 earned run average in four starts for the Indians.
