Hitzlsperger joins Wolfsburg
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Wolfsburg announced on Wednesday that the club has signed Germany international Thomas Hitzlsperger.
The 29-year-old midfielder moves to Germany from West Ham after he left the club as a free agent following the Hammers' relegation from the Premiership.
"Thomas is a player who will help us with his professional approach and his international experience," Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath said. "I am pleased that he is now with us, because he is a player who can lead the team."
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Hitzlsperger started 11 games in the league for West Ham last season, scoring two goals, while he has earned more than 50 caps for Germany during his international career.
