Harvard pro prospect Allen to miss 2017 season
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}(STATS) - Harvard will play its 2017 season without standout offensive lineman Larry Allen III, who will not be enrolled for the fall semester.
A Harvard athletic spokesman said the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Larry Allen Jr. is expected to return to the Ivy League university next year. A reason for his departure was not given.
The 6-foot-4, 285-pound Allen, an offensive guard and NFL prospect, was selected to the 2016 All-Ivy League first team as a junior after making the second team in 2015. He played scholastically at the famed De La Salle program in Concord, California.
