Harvard beats Dartmouth 59-50 in Ivy League play
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Laurent Rivard scored 13 points and Harvard overcame a double-digit deficit in the second half to beat Dartmouth 59-50 on Saturday.
The Crimson (13-3, 2-0 Ivy League) trailed 40-28 after Dartmouth's R.J. Griffin made a 3-pointer with 15:36 remaining in the game. But Harvard answered with a 10-0 run, capped by Matt Brown's 3-pointer to cut the lead to 40-38 with 10:01 left.
After David Rufful made a jumper for Dartmouth, the Crimson went on another run, scoring 13 straight points to take a 51-42 lead with 2:58 left. Brandyn Curry led the run with six points and Oliver McNally added five.
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Curry, McNally and Keith Wright each scored 12 points for the Crimson, who won their sixth straight.
Griffin scored 20 points on 7 of 9 shooting for the Big Green (4-12, 0-2), who have lost five in a row and extended their road losing streak in conference play to 10.
