Griner a game-time decision for Mercury

Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Phoenix Mercury center Brittney Griner will be a game-time decision for Game 3 of the WNBA Finals on Friday against Chicago because of an eye problem.

Griner was apparently poked in the eye during Game 2 on Tuesday and the Mercury said she underwent an outpatient procedure to correct a retinal issue.

The Mercury's statement said Griner would be re-evaluated Friday before joining the team in Chicago.

Phoenix has a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series after dominating the opening two games at home, winning by scores of 83-62 and 97-68.

Griner scored 19 points in Game 2, adding six rebounds and four blocks in the lopsided victory.
